Portfolio reviews will take place November 11-12-13, 2013,
from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at:
Spéos Paris Photographic Institute
8 rue Jules Vallès
75011 Paris, France

Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2013 portfolio reviews give photographers unparalleled opportunities to have their work seen by important international curators, gallery owners, magazine editors, representatives of photography agencies, collectors, and publishers from around the world.
Participants will be scheduled to have a series of 20-minute one-on-one reviews with these experts, who can assist with exhibitions, publications and guidance for future career development.
We believe that portfolio reviews are one of the most proactive and efficient ways for serious, career-oriented photographers to meet many international photography experts and colleagues in a professional atmosphere.
Level of Work Expected at Portfolio Reviews
Participants should be serious, mid-career photographers, with a recent history of exhibitions and/or publication, and ready for international markets. Applicants will not be pre-approved by a jury, but we strive to keep the level of work of participants high. For a good reference of where your work should be professionally, please look at the work of artists in the current issue and the archives of Lens Culture. These are the same high standards used for the FotoFest Meeting Place® portfolio reviews in Houston, which have been conducted successfully for more than 20 years.
About Us
Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2013 is a collaboration between FotoFest
International and Lens Culture, hosted by Spéos Photographic
Institute in Paris.
The Paris portfolio review is modeled on FotoFest’s
internationally respected Meeting Place® portfolio review that
FotoFest pioneered more than 20 years ago in Houston. Over the past 20 years — in Houston, as well as in dozens of other cities worldwide — similar professional reviews have been the catalysts for exhibitions, publications, and wider acclaim for many artists. In May 2011, Lens Culture partnered with the Swedish Museum of Photography (Fotografiska) to organize the first large-scale international portfolio review in Stockholm, following a similar model.
Lens Culture FotoFest Paris 2013 will be the fourth annual large-scale international review of this format to take place in Paris.
